Buying a home is a great idea for most people, it give you a sense of fulfillment and peace to have a place to call your own. Owning a home is a way to increase you personal wealth as well. A lot of factors go in to making a decision let’s start with the first one.

Location, Location and Location
You probably have heard this one before. If you are going to do anything right this is the first thing to get right. You can get yourself in a lot of financial problems if you have something no one likes to have when time come to sell it. For example if you need to move to a different place or need to scale down for retirement. A lot of people forgot about it during the past couple of years as the prices of real estate were going higher and higher, that is a good example to avoid.
So you could not afford a nicer location with a shorter commute to work but figured with the prices going up so fast you could cash out and move closer? Ok you may not agree with this argument but can’t deny the fact that it is human nature to want to be live close to conveniences of life as opposed to far away places. That kind of explains why middle of America is sort of empty doesn’t it?
The point is that demand is higher for better locations - as prices move up or down – therefore you have a better chance to protect the value of your property and since most people like nicer and convenient things it will help shield you from losing your shirt.
